Mount Fuji & Cherry Blossom

Mount Fuji was often a subject in my Sumi-e Japanese brush painting class. I loved drawing this mountain over and over again. Adding the cherry blossoms in front make it an appealing springtime theme. I love the majestic feel. Mt. Fuji also appears in Zen Bunny as 'Blue Mountain'. I love depicting the mountain as blue because it gives it a dynamic and bright personality. The juxtaposition of the hard mountain and the soft blossoms gives the painting a sense of sweetness and wonder.
